* Esophageal damage may occur in more that 30% of patients undergoing left atrial ablation procedures.  Although the precise

   pathophysiology of esophageal injury is unknown, thermal injury plays an important role. The ESOTEST Esophageal Temperature

  Monitoring System provides cost-effective , multi-pole temperature monitoring of the esophagus during RF and Cryoablation

  procedures. 


* The unique multi-thermocouple electrode design allows rapid, simultaneous temperature measurement of seven sites in the

   esophageal lumen.  The ESOTEST Probe's 7-French body, Atraumatic silicone tip, olive-shaped electrodes and removable internal

   stylet  are designed for easy insertion, quick adjustment, and patient comfort.  The ESOTEST Probe's shrouded pin connectors provide

  a standard interface for recording and mapping systems. 


* The ESOTEST's advanced, uninsulated sensor/electrodes provide unmatched, rapid temperature response. The ESOTEST Esophageal

  Temperature Monitoring System enables physicians to monitor the temperature of the esophagus in the range -15C to 75C during hot

  and cold ablation procedures.  Color-changing temperature displays provide immediate feedback regarding patient status.

  Programmable temperature rate alarms provide advance notice of pending alarms for cold and hot temperature thresholds.  Option

  for recording and saving event date for the entire procedure.  Used with fluoroscopy or a mapping system, ESOTEST continuously

  provides the location and seven temperature assessments of the esophagus during the  ablation procedure.
